Reclamation
is a group show focusing on the recuperative power of nature and its
ability to absorb the blunt trauma of human incursion.
Suzy
Poling
and David Graham's photographs document the deteriorating
remnants of kitschy architectural oddities, amusement parks and
roadside attractions as the structures decay and are slowly absorbed into the
landscape.
Paul Chidester's works focus on the ruins of
ancient civilizations and pair the prosaic with the exotic in a new
series of egg tempera paintings. Amy Schmierbach's soft
sculpture installation will take over areas of the gallery - window
wells, walls and corners - imagining nature's reclamation of Zg
Gallery's space. |
